Selangor: By launching its fifth location at Setia Ecohill Mall, Semenyih, LuLu Group, one of the country’s biggest retailers, has increased its market share. Retail and wholesale sales totaled RM130.7 billion in July 2022, up 41.0% from the same month last year. Sales in the retail sector increased by 37.5% from July 2021 to July 2022. Retail Sale of Automotive Fuel in Specialized Stores (73.7%), Retail Sale of Other Goods in Specialized Stores (47.1%), and Retail Sale in Non-Specialist Stores (39.1%) were the groupings that contributed to this increase. The sales in this subsector increased 0.8% from June 2022.
YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs, officially inaugurated the supermarket and department store in the presence of Nishad PA, Director of LuLu Group Malaysia & Indonesia; Asif MA, Regional Director of LuLu Malaysia; and other dignitaries and businessmen.
