Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced the rollout of One UI 6.1.1, which introduces the latest Galaxy AI features to a wider range of Galaxy devices through a new update.
One UI 6.1.1 is the advanced AI capabilities of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 to earlier models, including the Galaxy S24 series, S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series. One UI 6.1.1 enhances communication, productivity, and creativity, aiming to improve the overall user experience with greater intelligence and convenience.
Seamless Communication Across Languages
Galaxy AI simplifies cross-language communication with its Interpreter feature, now available on all supported devices. This includes Listening Mode and one-way translation, useful for scenarios like attending presentations. Chat Assist allows users to draft emails and social media posts easily, using Composer to generate messages from just a few keywords based on tone and style. Suggested replies, previously exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip6, are now available on the Galaxy S24 series, providing quick response options when paired with the Galaxy Watch7 or Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Enhanced Productivity on Any Device
The expanded Galaxy AI features convert any Galaxy device into a powerful productivity tool. Note Assist can now handle time-consuming meeting notes by providing translations, summaries, and transcriptions from voice recordings. The PDF Overlay Translation feature allows for effortless translation and overlay of text in PDFs, while Sketch to Image helps enhance photos by generating complementary images from simple sketches. Additionally, Circle to Search with Google now offers detailed search results and step-by-step solutions for complex math problems, along with a new Sound Search feature.
Boosting Creativity with Ease
Galaxy AI also simplifies content creation for users of all levels. Portrait Studio allows for instant creation of portraits in various styles like 3D cartoon or watercolor. Instant Slow-mo helps users slow down videos while preserving smooth image quality, making it easy to save and share high-quality content.
Availability
The update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series starts rolling out in Malaysia on September 9, with updates for other Galaxy devices to follow in the coming weeks.
