Samsung Electronics has officially rolled out its Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature in the Samsung Health Monitor app, enhancing heart health monitoring for Galaxy Watch users. Available from today, this feature works in conjunction with existing Blood Pressure and Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring tools to detect potential atrial fibrillation (AFib) and provide users with a comprehensive understanding of their cardiovascular health.
The IHRN feature continuously checks for irregular heart rhythms in the background, alerting users to any signs of AFib. This advancement allows for real-time monitoring, empowering users to take proactive steps regarding their heart health. Combined with on-demand ECG tracking and regular Blood Pressure monitoring, the app offers a holistic view of cardiovascular wellness.
Since its initial launch in 2020, the Samsung Health Monitor app has expanded its reach to 74 markets globally, with over 15 million Galaxy Watch users utilizing the platform to monitor their heart health directly from their wrists. By continuously tracking and recording blood pressure and heart rhythms, users can gain invaluable insights into their overall health.
