On November 6, 2024, the International Global Network (IGN) hosted an exclusive press conference at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, to reveal an exciting lineup of global youth events planned for 2025.
The announcement highlighted IGN’s commitment to shaping the future by empowering young leaders, youth, fostering international collaboration, and tackling global challenges through youth engagement.
The press conference featured notable figures including Mr. Muhammad Fahrizal, President of IGN, Mr. Mohd Reduan Bin Haji Zain, Redcloud-IGN Malaysia, and a group of alumni, students, and officials from the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sport. They shared valuable insights on the significant role that IGN plays in developing young leaders and its global impact in promoting international dialogue and cooperation.
According to Mr. Fahrizal, IGN’s mission is to create a platform where young people from around the world can engage in dynamic conversations about international issues, develop leadership skills, and be inspired to take on future roles in diplomacy and problem-solving.
“We are more committed than ever to creating meaningful international exchanges and fostering global leadership,” he said. “With each conference, we continue to expand the global network and offer young leaders a chance to make a positive impact in the world.”
A key partner in hosting IGN’s events, Berjaya Times Square Hotel has supported IGN since 2023, providing a world-class venue for important youth-focused conferences. At the press conference, Mrs. Tricia Loh, Director of Business Development & Marketing at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, spoke about the hotel’s ongoing support for IGN’s mission.
“I’m so happy and honored to be aligned with IGN, where the mission is to empower younger generations,” Mrs. Loh stated. “We believe that every conference has a significant impact, and we are proud to be a part of it.”
The hotel, strategically located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, offers modern facilities and an ideal setting for international gatherings. With Malaysia gearing up for Visit Malaysia Year 2026, the hotel is committed to enhancing the experience of conference delegates and ensuring exceptional hospitality for all attendees.
IGN’s 2025 lineup promises to be bigger than ever, with key events taking place in major cities like Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Bali, and Bangkok. One of the major highlights will be the 16th Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) and Asia World Model United Nations (AWMUN X), both scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur. These conferences are expected to attract between 1,500-2,000 students from over 60 countries, further solidifying IGN’s reputation as a leader in youth engagement and global diplomacy.
The 16th AYIMUN will be themed “Undertaking The Global Politics Dilemma: The Role of Youth to Strengthen Multilateralism,” focusing on global political challenges and the crucial role of youth in driving multilateral cooperation. Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss issues such as climate change, human rights, international security, and the future of global diplomacy, all while honing their leadership skills and preparing for careers in international relations.
“AYIMUN provides a unique platform for young leaders to engage with global issues, connect with peers from around the world, and deepen their understanding of diplomacy and international affairs,” said Mr. Fahrizal.
In addition to AYIMUN and AWMUN, IGN will also host other exciting youth events across the globe, engaging over 5,000 students in total. These events will continue to serve as vital platforms for cross-cultural exchanges, leadership training, and networking among the next generation of global leaders.
As IGN continues to grow, its impact on youth leadership is undeniable. The organization’s commitment to fostering dialogue, developing critical skills, and creating lasting global connections has already shaped thousands of young minds through its numerous international conferences. For instance, IGN’s recent 15th Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) in Bangkok brought together over 700 young leaders from 28 countries, offering them the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking debates on pressing global issues.
Through initiatives like AYIMUN and AWMUN, IGN has demonstrated its leadership in driving positive change through youth empowerment, reinforcing the importance of cross-border collaboration and leadership development in addressing the challenges of the 21st century.
For young people eager to make a difference, IGN provides a transformative platform to develop their leadership potential and become catalysts for global change. With events that span continents and bring together youth from diverse backgrounds, IGN is creating a future where young leaders have the tools, the vision, and the network to tackle the world’s most pressing issues.
In line with its continued growth and success, IGN encourages young leaders to participate in its upcoming events, gain invaluable exposure to global issues, and contribute to shaping a brighter, more interconnected future.
