AI at Your Fingertips: What the Galaxy Ring Means for Malaysia’s Digital Health Future

Samsung has officially brought the Galaxy Ring to Malaysia, with nationwide availability starting from 9 April 2025. This sleek, AI-powered wearable marks a bold new step in personal health monitoring. Seamlessly integrated with Samsung Health, the Galaxy Ring harnesses the power of Galaxy AI to provide real-time, personalised insights into sleep, heart rate, movement, and more—turning complex health data into simple, actionable advice to help users take control of their wellness effortlessly.

Wrapped in a durable yet stylish titanium frame, the Galaxy Ring is designed to be worn comfortably all day and night. Available in sizes 5 to 14, it offers a perfect fit for every user. Its elegant concave design not only protects against scratches but also gives it a timeless, minimalist look that blends with any style. The ring is ultra-lightweight—comparable to a traditional ring—and comes in a clear clamshell charging case inspired by a jewellery box, complete with LED lighting that gives an elegant gem-like unboxing experience.

Built to withstand daily routines, the Galaxy Ring boasts 10 ATM water resistance, making it safe for use in showers and even during intense workouts. It features a powerful battery that can last up to seven days on a single charge, allowing for uninterrupted health tracking. Inside, three advanced sensors track heart rate, skin temperature, and movement from the finger—a prime location for biometric accuracy. These sensors, working in harmony with Galaxy AI, deliver insightful health updates through the Samsung Health app, helping users make smarter lifestyle decisions.

Samsung Health acts as the heart of the Galaxy Ring experience. It offers a full view of a user’s wellbeing, powered by AI to enhance daily routines. With features like the Energy Score, users receive an assessment of their physical and mental readiness based on sleep, activity, and heart rate data. Wellness Tips offer personalised advice to improve workouts, sleep habits, and overall health. Women can benefit from the Cycle Tracking feature, which uses skin temperature data to provide accurate menstrual cycle predictions powered by Natural Cycles°. The ring also automatically detects walking and running without needing manual input. When it’s time to rest, the Sleep Insights feature analyses sleep stages, oxygen levels, heart rate, and movements, and offers personalised coaching to improve sleep quality. For mental wellbeing, the Mindfulness Tracker provides calming music, guided meditations, and sleep stories designed to ease stress and promote relaxation.

The Galaxy Ring retails at RM2,099 and is available in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold. From 9 to 30 April 2025, selected Galaxy Z and S Series users in Malaysia are eligible to purchase the Galaxy Ring through a special invitation system. Users simply need to retrieve their invitation code from the Samsung Members app, visit a Samsung Experience Store to try on sample rings and find their perfect fit, then complete their purchase online. As each ring is custom-crafted to the user’s finger size, delivery is estimated to take around six weeks.

In celebration of the Galaxy Ring’s arrival, Samsung Malaysia has also partnered with Sunway Medical Centre to offer a series of exclusive Galaxy Health Screening Packages from 9 April to 30 June 2025. These packages are available at a 25% discount to eligible Galaxy S and Z Series users, who can access a special invitation code via the Samsung Members app. Even better, the first 100 buyers will receive a 50% discount and a complimentary Galaxy Ring or Galaxy Fit3, making this promotion a golden opportunity to invest in your health.

The available screening packages cater to different age groups and health needs. They include Vitality and Executive options for women under and over 40, Comprehensive and Geriatric packages for those above 50 and 55 respectively, as well as similar offerings for men. Additional packages cover heart health with Standard, Premium, and Premium Plus Cardio screenings, and a Wellness Neuro package for those over 50 seeking a deeper look into brain health. Prices after the 25% discount range from RM1,035 for younger women’s vitality screenings to RM2,385 for the Wellness Neuro package.
