Calling for Book Donations at Karnival Jom Heboh

BESarawak, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP) Sarawak, is organising a Books Build Legacy book donation drive at Dataran Stadium Negeri, Kuching, during the Media Prima Karnival Jom Heboh from January 26 to 28.

The mission is to collect 500 novels and reference books suitable for children and teenagers. Donations will be distributed to rural primary and secondary schools throughout Sarawak.

Books Build Legacy is a statewide corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme under BESarawak’s Tribe Legacy Sarawak campaign to build value and create a shared legacy through collaboration. The programme is the largest of its kind in the business events industry and aims to promote literacy, education, and access to reading materials for children in rural Sarawak.

Collection boxes will be available at the Sarawak Tourism Village, open from 8 AM until 12 AM. Anyone wishing to donate may contact Elynnie D. Jau (Manager—Government Liaison) at elynnie@sarawakcb.com or +6019-818-1231 or Jocelyn Chong (Government Liaison Assistant) at jocelyn@sarawakcb.com or +6014-686-1100.
