The Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) proudly announces the return of two of the country’s most prestigious industry events the 3rd Malaysian Business Events Awards (MBEA) and the 2nd edition of EventXpo set to take centre stage from 7 to 9 August 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Regarded as the pinnacle of Malaysia’s business events calendar, this highly anticipated dual celebration is poised to honour excellence while spotlighting innovation and transformative trends that are propelling the industry forward.
MACEOS President, Datuk Dr M Gandhi, highlighted the significance of these events as more than just annual gatherings, they are a celebration of resilience, creativity, and future-focused growth. “MBEA and EventXpo represent a significant opportunity for industry stakeholders, creating a focal point for celebration, learning, and business development,” he shared. “This is the go-to event of the year for anyone involved in the business events ecosystem, offering unparalleled networking and growth opportunities.”
EventXpo 2025, following the success of its debut, returns with the theme “Smart Solutions, Smart Events,” promising to redefine the regional business events marketplace. Set over three dynamic days, the expo will feature a vibrant showcase of emerging technologies, industry trends, and cutting-edge solutions. It also offers high-impact keynote sessions, live interactive experiences, and curated networking opportunities solidifying its status as a must-attend for event organisers, suppliers, venue operators, and corporate buyers looking to drive business and innovation forward.
Datuk Dr M Gandhi emphasised the strategic role EventXpo plays in reshaping the sourcing experience for corporate buyers by consolidating key suppliers and services into one comprehensive platform. “Malaysia has already proven its capabilities on the global stage. EventXpo brings that momentum back home, positioning our local players on a regional platform and showcasing Malaysia as a hub of excellence in the business events arena,” he stated. Adding to the impact, the Kind Malaysia initiative will run alongside EventXpo, encouraging corporate social responsibility by fostering meaningful collaborations between businesses and non-profit organisations, highlighting the industry’s commitment to inclusivity and community legacy.
Complementing the expo, the Malaysian Business Events Awards (MBEA) will return with grandeur on 7 August 2025, recognising trailblazing individuals and organisations that exemplify excellence, innovation, and leadership. In light of recent industry challenges, MBEA 2025 is a celebration of resilience and determination, with new award categories such as Business Catalyst Excellence and Best Stage Design Excellence, reflecting the industry’s evolution and ambition. The detailed nomination process and award guidelines will be unveiled in May 2025 on the MACEOS official website, generating excitement among industry stakeholders eager to celebrate their achievements on a national platform.
Together, the MBEA and EventXpo 2025 promise a landmark experience for the Malaysian business events community uniting thought leadership, innovation, and recognition under one roof, and lighting the way for a thriving future in the regional and global events industry.
