The tallest french fry in Malaysia was displayed in Kuala Lumpur as part of a grand celebration of International French Fry Day by McDonald’s Malaysia and the KL Tower. The famous KL Tower served as the ideal backdrop for the transformation into a larger-than-life McDonald’s French Fry on July 13, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. This event represented the union of two cherished symbols that have a special place in Malaysians’ hearts.

Powered by Malaysians’ love for this iconic snack, the event served as a tribute to the unwavering popularity of the McDonald’s French Fries amongst Malaysians, young and old. This remarkable celebration showcased how McDonald’s French Fries bring people together, spark conversations, and have become one of the most loved and essential items on the restaurant’s menu.

The collaboration between McDonald’s Malaysia and KL Tower was made even more special with the addition of Malaysian music icon, Dato’ Sheila Majid, the renowned and beloved ‘Queen of Jazz,’ who brought her own brand of musical magic to this momentous celebration. As the face of the event, Sheila Majid, who has made a mark in the region and brought recognition to Malaysia, helped celebrate these beloved icons loved by all Malaysians by infusing her unmatched musical talent and charm to create an unforgettable experience.

In recognition of its creative and one-of-a-kind approach for the celebration of International French Fry Day, McDonald’s Malaysia also received a nod from the prestigious Malaysian Book of Records for ‘The Tallest French Fry in Malaysia.’ The Certificate of Achievement was presented by Jwan Heah Yeow Hooi, Chief Marketing Officer, Malaysia Book of Records to Melati during the event.

“The recognition from the Malaysian Book of Records affirms our commitment in finding new and creative ways to engage with Malaysians from all walks of life. It also showcases McDonald’s dedication to serving not only delicious food, but creating feel-good moments for our customers. This would not have been possible without the continued support from Malaysians across the nation,” added Melati.
