PICO has officially unveiled OS 5.13.0, the latest software update for its flagship PICO 4 Ultra headset, bringing a host of cutting-edge features and optimizations to redefine the virtual reality experience. With a strong focus on user experience, the update enhances multiple aspects of the device, including the panoramic screen workspace, motion tracking, AI-powered virtual environments, and overall image and sound quality, setting a new standard for immersive technology.

The photo gallery has also received a significant upgrade, introducing a new feature that converts 2D images into immersive spatial photos, with batch conversion support and compatibility with iPhone 16 spatial photos.
Motion tracking sees major enhancements with an updated algorithm that ensures greater stability, particularly when users are sitting or lying down. Additionally, the frequency of full-body motion capture data has been increased, resulting in smoother, more natural movement representation. The AI virtual scene feature has also been expanded, with two new stylistic environments now available for users to explore. These AI-powered scenes, offered free for a limited time, provide deeply immersive spaces ideal for socializing, relaxing, or engaging in virtual activities. Other refinements in the update include improved image quality in low-light conditions, frame interpolation for smoother visuals, and the addition of virtual viewing scenes in the video player to create a theater-like experience for video content.
