ABS Greentech Sdn Bhd is excited to share the news of the successful soft launch of the 2nd Asia Smart Farming (ASF) 2024, which took place today from 9 to 11 AM at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). The event was welcomed by Dato Syed Munshe Afdzaruddin, the Organizing Chairman of Smart Farming 2024. This preliminary event acted as a preview for the upcoming 2nd Asia Smart Farming and Food Security Conference and Exhibition, which is set to be held place from 25th-27th October 2024 at PICC.
The event held today was attended by a diverse group including members of the diplomatic corps, technocrats, agropreneurs, agricultural marketers, industry players, technologists, and enterprising young farmers. It served as a platform to highlight the promotion of smart, pesticide-free farming practices, which are poised to revolutionize agricultural methods, resulting in higher yields, sustainability, and safer food consumption.
At the inaugural Smart Farming event in 2023, ABS Greentech Sdn. Bhd. made significant progress by signing 11 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with international industry players. These agreements will provide the necessary financing for projects in the smart agriculture sector. R M Ravichandar, the Chief Executive Officer of ABS Greentech Sdn Bhd, recently shared exciting news about a significant funding commitment of RM550 million. This investment will be focused on improving smart farming techniques and promoting food security in Malaysia.
