Live To Move Progresses with Impactful Arthritis Awareness Campaign

The Malaysian Orthopaedic Association (MOA), the oldest and largest fraternity of orthopaedic specialists in Malaysia, will host the Live to Move 2023 fundraising ride across Penang Island on June 14, 2023. Through this event, money and awareness are hoped to be raised for arthritis, a debilitating condition that affects millions of people worldwide.

The Live to Move 2023 fundraising ride will kick off from the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, embarking on a 90 km cycling journey around the scenic Penang Island. This initiative not only supports a worthy cause but also promotes cycling as a healthy lifestyle choice.

“We extend a warm welcome to all conference delegates and the cyclists participating in the Live to Move 2023 fund-raising event,” expressed The Hon. Yeoh Soon Hin Penang, State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy, Penang. He also said that “through this event, the Penang State Government is not just aiming for supporting the lives of our elderly; it is also about investing in the future of our society as a whole. Our seniors have dedicated their lives to the betterment of our communities. They have contributed their wisdom, skills, and experiences to shape the world we live in today. It is now our responsibility to ensure they have the opportunity to live healthy lives during their golden years. By enabling them to stay healthy, engaged, and connected, we foster a society that values and cherishes the contributions of every generation.”

AFM provides valuable information, resources, and access to optimal care for individuals affected by arthritis. The foundation also plays a pivotal role in promoting scientific advancements and fostering research and education on the prevention, diagnosis, causes, and treatment of arthritic disorders.
